Book review

 

This work is my book review about any book we wanted to choose and I chose Diary if a Wimpy Kid because this is my favourite book to read. We had to choose a book and do a review about it. Then we had to write about the book and do different tasks on it. I think I did well with the time we had given to finish this. I liked doing the character study the most because I liked using thinglink. I learnt how to use chrome build properly.

This is my de Bonos Thinking Hats work we had to write about our school production which is Alice in Wonderland it was fun doing it. Once we had finished we had to put it on a google drawing.

This is the same work as I did yesterday we had to get a book out of the national library pile and read it I picked this because it seemed like a interesting book to read. This book is about a boy that lived on a island by himself and one girl comes and does something bad. 

The Matchbox

We had to choose a book from the national library box and read it and do a Thinglink about it and answer some questions Ms Sands wrote. This book is about a matchbox diary a matchbox diary is a diary where little things can be kept in. We had 15 minutes to read the book and then take a photo of it.

This work is from James for reflecting on what work we have been doing this year this is one of the tasks James has set this is one of my befunky's. There were little videos and showing what kind of information to give out when your blogging something. James also set this task where it says what age you have to be when your using Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat.

Where i was born

=In our class there has been 5 people that have been born overseas.

Sifa has travelled 2000 kilometers to get to waikowhai primary school. Caroline has travelled 2833 kilometers to get to waikowhai primary school.

The reason why people move to different countries is because there country  might be attacked and NZ is a safe country. Every year 6000 immigrants come to New Zealand  for a better life.

This video is about racism and how a lot of kids are getting threatened and hurt by so many other people. This video made me think about how cruel a lot of people can be to brown and black people. This video is a really powerful video.

My Maps

In Cybersmart we looked at my maps we were looking at how far my chromebook has travelled. On my my map it shows were acer is based in and were the biggest gold mines are.

              Today with James Room 9 where working on scenarios and shows what happened and how we will solve it. My scenario is my Xbox 360 account got hacked and we had to write questions and write what we could do to solve this. I would call the xbox company and try and get my xbox account back

Bean Rock

This is my answers for a book we read its called Bean Rock. Bean Rock is a Lighthouse Bean Rock is the only Waved Washed Island in New Zealand. The lighthouse keeper at Bean Rock has to wake up every three or two hours to check if the light is still burning. The lighthouse keepers family stayed in the cottage that was in the lighthouse.

HOW CHEAP CAN IT BE???????????

My Response is about my Installation Art. We had to write about what we thought about our installation art. So on our Personal Response we had to answer questions like what we thought about, What we disliked, What we would change and What I learnt. I enjoyed doing this because we used  tools like drills, Saws, Hammers , Nails and Screws. I liked that Mr Williamson let us use his tools.

Abstract art slideshow

This is my google slide about my Abstract artwork. I enjoyed doing this because this is a different experience because I have never ever done this kind of artwork. My favourite artwork is my final piece because that was probably my best artwork I have ever done. We used pastel, Crayon, Paint and Masking tape. Altogether this was a blast of an experience.

Improving blog comments

Bula Vinaka In this piece of work we took a average blog comment and changed it to an amazing blog comment and we used a greeting at the start. We had to write a thoughtful and positive comment. I also learnt that you don't have to start your writing with hi or hello you can start with Bula Vinaka,Talofa,Aloha and much much more.

Commenting tips

Room 9 created a Padlet to show you how to create a blog statement. On the Padlet it shows you how to write an awesome blog statement.You need to use the right punctuation and be really positive and be honest. Make sure you have the right spelling and punctuation. Don't give out personal information. Put your first name not your last name and be cybersmart. We have our own blogs so  we can comment.

Camp

Rolling down the massive steep hill was fun.  I  liked rolling down the hill because I  liked getting sand on me. Getting hailed on was the worst experience because the hail was so rough that my puffer jacket nearly flew off me. Walking back was no point because after the hail finished we walked back to the beach. After running back to the beach it was  cool because Max and I climbed to the top and ran off the hill.

Soccer zones

I decided to write about Soccer Zones because Soccer Zones were one of my favourite things to do this year.  Shockingly we  came first. We did not lose a game. I played either goalkeeper or striker , I enjoyed playing forwards because I liked getting the chance to score a goal. We vs Mount Roskill in the finals we won hardcore 5 -O. On the day our  biggest win was against May Road It was 8 -0. A big thanks to Dave for being our amazing coach we couldn't have done it without you.
